Unfortunately, the Governor waited for at least 4 hours too long before deploying them in this manner.
Maybe those particular owners did not possess firearms, or maybe they weren’t clear about the law. The Supreme Court established a standard that you have to be in fear of your life or other’s lives in order to use deadly force.
However,you can shoot arsonists when the building is occupied and lives are in danger, but you would have to be able to state with credibility that you feared for your life.
The owners were told by the police and the governor to stay home, because the officers and guard would protect their property. It wouldn’t surprise me, if they were told that they could face charges if they shot anyone.
It’s truly a bizarre world that we live in today.
St. Louis and Kansas City votes for Democrats. Typically St. Louis has technical difficulties, and when finally reported, it’s often enough to overcome the lead that a Republican Governor has.
Barack Hussein Obama was also considered to be from Illinois(once considered part of the Midwest).
Probably all correct.
