This election cycle was such a devastating rejection of liberal policies that the sitting Democrat Governor of Vermont could not get 50% of the vote. Shumlin’s single payer healthcare scheme was basically the only issue.
The guy who ran against him was virtually unknown and still came within ~2000 votes. The legislature (Dem dominated) will decide who is our next governor.
Now's a good time to peel off the lock steppers---if the manage to unglue themselves from Obama's behind.
