“deray, 29, is an education professional “

Those two words don’t belong in the same sentence. Our schools don’t teach, they indoctrinate.

I got my teaching credential in math, chemistry, and physics in Ca and Tx.

In both states, the classes were a joke and a monkey could pass them. (I don’t know about other states since I know nothing about their requirements).

That this guy could get a teaching credential or certificate just means he showed up now and then. And was still breathing. IQ and effort aren’t a factor.

“Have to wonder: How could a fire grow so large right there in the middle of dntn LA without a fire dept reaction HOURS ago?”

That was my first thought. Had to be massive amounts of fuel available.

“Anyone with half a brain can see the problem. Their fix? Spend tax dollars, build high-density housing, eliminate cars and stimulate more mass transit...all in the name of ‘livability’...but they ‘are’ creating jobs.../s”

Just like the living conditions in 1984.

You can only control the masses if they are caged together.

“Creating union jobs to build this, then more union jobs to clean it up, then more union jobs to build it again...........”

But those that have the drive and intelligence to create their own businesses are vilified. They didn’t built those businesses! So may as well let rioters destroy them.

These punks can’t get their way on everything they want so they think they have the right to lite other people’s stuff on fire?
Hope cops find in the act and put a couple into the cranium to save us all the cost of a trial.

This USMC link needs to be checked and connected or ruled out, that’s for sure!

People are going to look at that if it is related to protests and will think of urban blacks as stupid, uninformed, dangerous and highly racist.

This is not going to help minorities to find a job, people will avoid hiring them.

People are going to wonder if there is a deeper reason they act out crime 600% more than others. Are they worth the risk of hiring in your business?

Right, burn other people’s stuff, but if they or their families owned something would they burn it?

“It’s formerly America LA. I don’t really care”

I agree. We are escaping Mexifornia. It is thoroughly invaded without a chance of becoming the U.S. again.

Just go to L.A. and count how many times you hear English spoken. I’ve been there twice in the last month - they do have some of the best doctors there I have to admit because of the population density - and felt like I was fleeing a 3rd world nation when I got on the 5 to go home.

I agree in that I am offended that much of what we buy has both Spanish and English on the packaging. I am seeing Spanish billboards. You are required to speak Spanish and to work in the service industry at this point.

Now mind you many don’t want to do starting jobs because the dole pays better with insurance, food and money better than minimum wage, but even if English speaking Americans wanted to start working they are being shut out due to the Spanish only language barrier now being spoken and most work places. I’m also hearing the Latinos mostly only employ themselves or relatives when jobs open up.

We need to take away the dole and secure the border to turn this mess around.

By the way, my wife was born in Mexico, but came here legally, works hard and pays good taxes on a good wage.

In general, most though do play the system for financial support and I found out many during the Reagan amnesty came here after and paid employers $600 to fake they were here for years to get residency. So we probably had an additional 3 million here under Reagan that should have been kicked back over the border.
I don’t see why the same garbage doesn’t happen today.

I don’t think any Latino activists are burning LA down. Latinos tend to not burn down where they live.

Answer: There was lots of fuel. Stick built building which probably has not been sheetrocked (keeps fire contained) and no sprinkler system in place. Make it like a large bonfire.

There have been other fires like this and they go quickly to the un-savable stage. 2000 there was a big one in NJ just across from the city that could be seen for miles. More recently there was one under construction that went up like this during the day.

hmmm, interesting. So there’s a window where a building under construction has a lot of risk. I wonder why there aren’t steps to mitigate it? Probably too expensive I imagine. Like installing sprinkler systems prematurely, then having to take them out again.

“We need to take away the dole and secure the border to turn this mess around.”

Yup, my son was discriminated against getting entry-level jobs because he didn’t speak Spanish.

Well, the dole and security won’t happen in CA. TPTB want the invasion. That’s why we are moving - to an area that will likely take matters into it’s own hands if the invasion reaches there. I will get to die in the U.S. after all ;) Or at least live in it for a decade or so.

Yes, they are very cliquish. Just like the blacks are. And have the irony to call white people racists, LOL! I’m just done with all of them and all of the PC crap. The country is toast - unless we have some kind of melt down that wakes up the sleeping sheep.

You (also) have to wonder:

When an apartment building is in that particular stage: All sticks in the air, clearly it is at its most vulnerable in terms of fire. Even if it’s a large building the size of city block (which this looks like) How much would it cost to have a night watchman or two for the say 2-3 months it’s in that state? Seems like kind of false economy.
