I doubt that some of their leaders care all that much about Mecca. The concept is just a way to exercise control. Actually attacking Mecca might be exactly what they would like to see to motivate their masses.

It depends on what country in the West gets hit. If it’s the U.S., Mecca is safe, because King Putt would never nuke Mecca.
