"Voters are stupid" economist Jonathan Gruber and Marilyn Tavenner face Issa and the House Oversight & Government Reform Committee today on C-SPAN 3.
FOX News reports that Tavenner has asked that she be seated anywhere but next to Gruber. Apparently, Gruber is radioactive. Time will tell whether this affliction is covered under Obamacare.

Issa asks Gruber is he is “stupid”. Gruber apologizes again (and again, and again...).
Issa asks Gruber if it’s true that if Goldman got a lower premium, some people would necessarily have to have higher premiums.
Gruber is obfuscating, talking about risk pools, blah, blah.

Gruber spoke the truth in those videos, so why is he getting attacked?
Because he insulted the public by calling them stupid and claiming the administration (with Obamacare) pulled the wool over their eyes.
Those pushing Obamacare DID lie about many aspects of the legislation.
Going after Gruber is misplaced. They should be going after those who lied — including politicians and media. What Gruber did was reveal how they perpetuated the lies to sell the ‘pig-in-a-poke’ legislation to the SCJ, Dem Congresscritters, bureaucrats, regulators, and the public.
Issa grilling Gruber about cost shifting, Gruber lying about people paying less for coverage.

Regarding money payed for services delivered: Were the books cooked?
Issa grilling him pretty hard.
Gruber stipulates that the $400,000 he received was but a small fraction of Obamacare budget. Gruber is the gift that keeps on giving.
Just turn the model over Gruber and let others evaluate it.

Issa calls for independent audit of Gruber’s numbers.
Cummings again excoriating Gruber for the main reason that Gruber gave ACA critics a great PR weapon, but should not reflect on how wonderful the ACA is.
Hey Gruber.... were you lying at all of those conferences or are you lying now? Which is it?
Cummings repeats his prepared talking points, still outraged by Gruber’s comments, asks pointless question that allows PJB to apologize again- like that will make it all better.
Gruber is a political adviser. Why does he keep saying he’s not?
Tavner says she has put processes in place so they don’t count people twice? Processes... Its called a SORT in the spreadsheet lady.
Now Cumming is taking on Tavenner about including the dental plans.
“How could you give ACA opponents such a PR gift?”
