The really great humor to be found here is that the young damsels at Smith (and Berkeley and Columbia, etc) would never, not for one second, deign to be in the same company as the likes of Michael Brown or Eric Garner. In the mind(s) of these fair ladies, they are way ahead of them socially, intellectually, and in every other way. It is only as symbols that Brown and Garner have any value whatsoever.
