It’s called creating problems that only Progressive policies can solve.

Had a very good discussion with my teenage daughter this morning, before school, on how the Left creates/invents pretexts for the actions they desire to take. She gets it, I’m rather proud of the way she’s developing her critical analysis skills.

Another old hippie leftover from the wacky 60s. It’s almost as obsolete as the UN is.

I went to an all-girls college in the 1960s with a very strictly enforced set of rules, both for academic and campus/dorm standards. The thing that those who never experience it have difficulty understanding is that living by a clear, firm, and enforced set of standards increases freedom, both intellectual and personal.

How do you convey that to a child today?

"I sure hope those kids sue RS for anything it has left."

According to Judge Napolitano on Fox, the kids are lawyering up. Napolitano said they will end up with very fat bank accounts.

They have a readership (subscriptions and store-front sales) of 1.4 million. Now, if you went out and asked the typical age of a Rolling Stone reader....I’d take a guess the vast majority (better than sixty percent) are fifty or older. It’s not the magazine that a typical sixteen or eighteen year old would read today.

It’s certainly in better shape than Newsweak or Time. But here’s the thing...if they get dragged into court, and have to toss out $10 million in settling...plus another million in lawyer costs...it’ll put a crimp into operations cost. Long gone are the days of Hunter S. Thompson.
