Don’t know why everyone is getting their panties in a twist. Read some of the report - I did not read where the CIA operatives beheaded anyone, I did not read that anyone was taken to the 135 floor of a building and thrown out a window, I did not read that anyone was doused with gasoline and set on fire and I did not read that anyone was crucified. I do know that we have not had a 911 since 911. So what’s the problem? It worked!

I get the sinking feeling that the “brutal torture” techniques inflicted on our mortal enemies was something on the order of speech that scared them, or interrupting their sleep.

Exactly right. Even the "we can't sink to their level" crowd has to agree that we have come no-where near their level. They, A-Q, declared war on us. I don't care if they called it that, we called it that, or not - that's what it is and it isn't over yet.

For any lib lurkers out there who are part of the unicorns and fairy dust world most libs live in understand this: war is brutal. Sure, waterboarding and other techniques no-doubt suck. So does having your plane crash. So does having your office building collapse. So does having a limb blown off and bleeding out. War is a messy, dirty, ugly business full of pain and misery. That is why it is best never to start one that can be avoided, and to end it as quickly as possible using every tool at your disposal.
