Physicians and others should not push their religion in these situations, although one can use examples of how Jesus saved oneself or others in similar situations.

And often bad religion or wrong religious ideas are behind the guilt or suicidal despair. One is allowed to quote scripture to correct such wrong ideas to a Christian believer.

Too often those pushing religion are ignorant egotists, and I have reported one doc for doing this in an inappropriate manner.
