There’s no good reason Mexico isn’t a first world country on par with the USA and Canada.

A corrupt government from top to bottom rife with organized crime and an apathetic population who can simply walk away for easy livin in the USA.

If there was ever a country we needed to invade for their own good its Mexico.

As an undergrad I was a geography major. One thing I remember was that Mexico should be a wealthy country. It is blessed with tremendous natural resources.

Something is really wrong there. Probably corruption. I wonder where that comes from?

We shouldn’t invade Mexico. Because then we’d be obliged to rebuild it for them, a’la Germany and Japan.

And someday we likely will have to invade to get rid of the drug cartels who are now blatantly operating on our side of the border.

Mexico is a failed Narco state and as you stated there is no reason for it except for the entrenched corruption that has existed forever. Mexico has tremendous natural resources, its a vacation destination and hosts foreign manufacturing from our country and Europe.
