You act as if all these gals were some sort of innocent angels, I do not think Cosby was a Saint.
The truth is probably in the messy middle.
Anyone that believes this woman willingly took pills she remembers the color of for the flu 30 years ago sounds like a BSer to me.
Though I am sure she took the drugs willingly for a good time.
This is the first the public has heard of it, but she was one of the Jane doe witnesses for Constand in 2005.
Bill Cosby settled with Constand and her claim of being drugged and raped by him in 2004, in 2006
Constand is not included in Cosby’s blanket denials.
I doubt Bill had to drug these gals against their knowledge to show them his pudding pop.

As I said, let the courts, rather than tabloids and public opinion sort it out.
Many a man has been ruined with ruinous lies.
They usually place themselves in a situation that can be misinterpreted and manipulated.
Seems ALL these women put themselves in similar situations.
I doubt Bill raped a girl in a public bar.
We all know he was into the playboy club, so was half of the world at the time.

In a defamation lawsuit the plaintiff must prove a statement was made by the defendant and the defendant’s statement was false and/or an unprivileged statement tending to cause the plaintiff to be held in ill repute. In the event the defendant did make such an otherwise unprivileged statement tending to cause the plaintiff to be held in ill repute, the defendant’s defense is to prove by a preponderance of the evidence that the statement was a true statement and a privileged statement even if the statement tends to hold the plaintiff in ill repute.
It appears the plaintiff will be obligated to present a proof by a preponderance of the evidence that Bill Cosby falsely denied the plaintiff’s truthful statements about Bill Cosby. In the even the plaintiff succeeds in presenting proof of the plaintiff’s allegations by a preponderance of the evidence, Bill Cosby will then be obligated to present evidence by a preponderance of the evidence that his statements about the plaintiff were truthful and privileged to hold the plaintiff’s reputation in ill repute.
Since Bill Cosby chose not to sue for defamation, the alleged victim has come forward to sue for defamation in order for the dispute to be adjudicated in a court of law.
Note, the amount of damages being claimed in the defamation lawsuit are insufficient to qualify as a monetary motive for suing, because the amount may not be large enough to even cover the attorney fees and costs if successful, and certainly not if the lawsuit is unsuccessful.

LOL, not quite. You can't slander someone and then claim defamation when they deny your allegations. And when your allegations contain no proof, then you can't prove you're not lying.
Cosby's counter-suit will also be for defamation, aggravated by malice. She slandered him first - if she can't prove her words, then she can't prove she not lying. And as an attorney she will be presumed to know she needed proof and didn't have it. Her whole case will be killed in discovery, and then she'll get buried by the counter-suit.
The whole thing is too stupid not to be a political defamation plot by any means necessary to keep it in the public eye.

Whatever you ran into has nothing to do with all this, so why post as though this is a story like yours?
This is a huge and sweeping story, involving dozens of people so far, 50 years of time, two police reports, a court settlement, and even some pretty good journalistic investigating going back many years, this is not just a couple of young gals suddenly hitting on a rich celebrity.
I bet you weren’t facing credibility as described in post 23.

I think the difference is that Clinton was President and had to be defended at any cost.
The left has had it out for Cosby because he stood up for family values.
That, along with a ridiculous amount of women coming forward, has made him expendable to the left.

None of which has any bearing on whether Bill Cosby did or did not commit multiple acts of rape and sexual assault on some or all of the women making the accusations.

I was the university’s student host for a diplomat traveling on a diplomatic passport when he made an unsuccessful attempt to coerce me to serve as his involuntary pimp and secure him some university girls and boys to use for his sexual escapades. When I left him and immediately reported his criminal behavior to the university’s sponsor, the diplomat arranged to use his friends in the university to retaliate against me.
This character had no special need to engage in such risky behavior just to get some sexual gratification, except you could see it gave him immediate gratification to wield oppressive force against a person he deemed to be relatively defenseless.
If the allegations against Bill Cosby happen to be generally true in all or most cases, you can bet dollars to donuts the payoff to Cosby would be the gratification received from wielding abusive power against women. The descriptions of the alleged incidents and other comments from people who Cosby hired to perform services for him fit very well with a celebrity who gets enjoyment out of abusing people.
