Redistributing wealth from wealthy/middle class to the poor always causes a temporary boost in sales because the poor rarely ever think to pay of debts or put money in savings. So yes their would be growth, but it would only be for a few months and then things would get considerably worse because the other two groups just got poorer.

You keep raising taxes on folks that produce, and two things will happen: 1. They will stop producing, 2. They will take what they produce and put it underground where it will not be taxed.
