We are exploiting Africa’s natural resources.

We tap our own supply and we are dooming Africa.

They are going to wear out that victim card soon.

How many more stupid stories will be written about all the bad things caused by low oil prices?

“What was stopping economic growth before oil prices fell?”

Ding-Ding-Ding! We have a Winner!

But, I’ll take a stab at the answer: Islamo-facists and Corrupt Government Officials?

Ding-Ding-Ding! We have another Winner! ;)

Better to threaten their economic growth than mine, ours.

The big takeaway seems to be that higher oil prices are a way to redistribute America’s wealth to the world’s jerks and losers. Thus liberals are peeved at lower oil prices.

One of the stories that pops up at yahoo mail for the last week is “The Dark Side of Your Low Gas Prices” It is an absolutely insane, bullshit piece about an explosion of oil carrying rail cars in Canada last year, and how American rail is under-regulated, and WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE IN FIERY OIL EXPLOSIONS, because we have cheap gas and the Feds are simply not regulating enough.

No mention, by the way, of “Hey, let’s build the pipeline, so there is less oil moving on rail.”

I tell ya, I am absolutely paralyzed with horror at the prospect of dying in an oil fire!!!! I say we ditch cheap gas, and go with safer Saudi Oil!!!!

Not for the squeamish, cinexplotation, but some insight to early post-colonial Africa.

Low gas prices threaten green energy which is really expensive and unreliable. Zero needs a $10/gal gas tax to make green energy viable. The low prices from “you can’t pump your way to low prices” must chapp that bisexual behind.

The explosion that killed 47 was caused by failure to set a brake on a slope, and not to guard a potentially dangerous cargo that even terrorists could have exploited. As for pipeline, an Enbridge pipe line carrying tar stands oil burst in 2010, was not discovered for a day, and they have already spent over a $billion trying to clean up the tributary of the Kalamazoo River where it spilled. Also Qingdao China had a pipeline explosion last year which killed over 60 people. Suggest you Google those names for details. We do need stronger tank cars to carry dangerous hydrogen sulfide containing oils from North Dakota, and stronger, well maintained pipelines carrying the highly corrosive, abrasive, toxic tar sands oil (dilbit) to prevent destructive expensive spills.
