Thank you. It seems most haven’t read it at all. DHS is only funded through March to allow amnesty to be dealt with. Several agencies took real hits, the EPA for one. I am happy they passed a budget, definite public relations plus (except here), and some very nice cuts or restrictions.
I can’t believe Gov. Pence’s successor, Luke Messer (R), voted ‘yeah’.

It was today all about knocking out campaign finance limits so the big money boys can have more clout than ever. The GOPe, and its chamber of horrors, banks, and brokers, hedge funders got their way. Conservative who want smaller government need a new party.

Having made a few calls, and received the “skinny” on the political side and demography of this vote...
You can bet your non-existent bottom dollar that the republican party leadership now “owns” the bill to continue to operate YOUR government despite the need to make a significant dent in the debt...(But this is almost beside the point...)
The “NV’s” has one guy that is interesting to have in that bunch...Jeb Hensarling is a Chair of a very important and influential fiduciary committee...I WOULD bet a bottom dollar that he abstained because he has a big Tea Party base in N.E. Texas and didn’t want to piss them off...And he didn’t want to go against the republican leadership because he wants to stay as a chairman of that committee...
Make your assumptions based upon that political reality...
As for the rest of the republicans on the “yea” side...
Be aware, you own the spending this next year...

Where you should have approved the funding for this next year by actually “working” thru your holidays, coming up, to approve at least thru the department level the funding for each (separately), with a simple up or down vote...

I will conclude, that there IS something really strange about the democrats on the “nay” side...
I heard Pelosi had given instruction for those in that party to “vote their conscience” on this Amendment to the Amendment introduced by the non-voting representative from the US V.I.
Keep that in mind...I’m still working on some details that I am still in the process of collecting...
