All these things where we're kept in the dark like the IRS, Benghazi, HUD need FOIA reform where the government is forced to disclose what went on. This bill would have helped in that regard. Boehner didn't want that openess requirement and thus stymied a bill that had already been passed unanimously. He obviously doesn't work for honest government or the people. It's a club and the doors are kept sealed to those who pay the bills.

Here let me fix it.

“...for this legislative session.”

There, that’s better.

“... He obviously doesn’t work for honest government or the people. It’s a club and the doors are kept sealed to those who pay the bills.”

I believe it is time we the people kicked those doors open, don’t you?

He is paid big donations by those who control the banking system via the Federal Reserve. Citigroup and Goldman Sachs are big contributor; Sen.Ted Cruz’s wife, Heidi Cruz, is a vice president of Goldman Sachs. We should be very careful who we believe, or trust, in Congress. One of the few I do trust is Sen.Jeff Sessions.

“A September 2010 New York Times story said Boehner was “Tightly Bound to Lobbyists” and “He maintains especially tight ties with a circle of lobbyists and former aides representing some of the nation’s biggest businesses, including Goldman Sachs, Google, Citigroup, R.J. Reynolds, MillerCoors and UPS.”. (Lipton, Eric (September 11, 2010). “A G.O.P. Leader Tightly Bound to Lobbyists”. New York Times.)”

Some others he accepts contributions from: AT&T, First Energy, Sallie Mae, Paulson & Co., American Electric Power, Moore Capital Management, Swisher International Group, Cantor Fitzgerald, Goldman Sachs, Chicago Mercantile Exchange. (The New Yorker, June 8, 2013).

Yes, it’s a club, an exclusive club.

On a positive note, our government is very transparent now! We can clearly see the tyranny.

Boehner is going ALL IN on Statist, elitist liberal fascism, now that he is out of all electoral danger.

He's a dangerous phony, every bit as bad as Obama, Pelosi, and Reid.

How are they able to kill a bill that was already passed and rewrite bills that were already passed too.

This does not sound very democratic

By tabling the bill until the new Congress is sworn in less a month from now, the Republicans can beef up the bill and make it even more pro-openness and pro-disclosure.

One thing is certain, in the new Senate, it’s not gonna matter what the commie Leaky Leahy wants. Maybe that’s why he’s whining about it now as if Boehner just shot his dog.

“says Nate Jones, the Freedom of Information Act Coordinator at the George Washington University’s National Security Archive.”

Mr. Jones needs to raise some heck about the need to streamline the declassification process for classified documents requested under FOIA. Make it so that a document gets passed from successor agency for an organization that was abolished 20-60 years ago to make the declassification and release decision. I once filed a declassification FOIA for a document from an Army organization that was abolished in the late 1960s, after 4 years, the Army and all of DoD can’t agree which new Army or DoD organization may now be responsible for declassifying that defunct Army outfit’s records.

Boehner was never a Republican. He was a Democrat all along. A DNC plant.

Ask yourself this... Why are there so many RINOs but so few DINOs? How beneficial (and extremely easy) would it be for a party to infiltrate the opposition with its own loyal members, who then run and get elected to a congressional seat as a member of the opposition party, in order to undermine opposition voting on key issues in the House or Senate?

It’s just too much of a coincidence for me; i.e., that it happens over and over and over again that a Republican suddenly goes full-bore RINO and starts voting like a democrat just when it will hurt conservatives the most.

It doesn’t appear to me to be the case that RINOs are simply individuals who were compromised by money or scandal; we all know democrats are just as dirty or dirtier than Republicans and just as susceptible to those pressures as Republicans.

Yes, I may wear a tinfoil hat, but it’s made out of special tin: It lets in the light. ;-)

Elitist RINOs have secured their next (short) term in COngress by rolling over and telling their base to “ Eat cake.”

Result? Goodbye to ANY chance for the RINO led GOP of winning in 2016. The GOP conservative base stays home, one more time. They will only vote to elect TP candidiates. The GOP conservative base will not vote for another establishmentarian GOP RINO.

The GOP in its ppresent configuration will never again for a generation win Congress or the presidency.

Say hello to President Hillary Clinton.
