Stacy and Walt Alexander live with their 9 kids in Decatur Tennessee.
Powerful story of faith and resolve. Prayers for your friends, Maelstorm.
Sickening that this story is avoided by the MSM, while the woman who took her life is championed.
Thank you!
I agree. It’s strange how those that seek death or wish to surrender to faithlessness are lifted up in the media.
bttt
Thank you!
Prayers to be sent. BTW, how do they make it finacially with 9 kids?
Thankfully Walt has a good job that is flexible and they were also running a farm growing food, cows etc but hes had to cut back on the farm work to take care of his wife and make sure she gets to appoints etc. The insurance is decent but doesn’t cover everything. They’ve had to go quite a distance for treatment which adds a lot of travel costs etc and then there is the deductibles and costs not covered by insurance. The good thing is they have family near by who help with the children. Also Walt has a lot of friends. I’m just trying to get their story out and help as much as I can. I know this relapse has thrown them for a loop.
Thanks!
That’s an odd question. Why do you ask?
What is odd about asking how anybody makes it with 9 kids? Do you think kids are cheap? Or maybe everybody is wealthy?
That question is one of my pet peeves about having a large family, so I must have seen an insinuation that wasn’t there, sorry :).
And no, I don’t think kids are cheap. I also don’t think they require as much money as many people seem to think.
I was poor growing up but didn’t know it at the time. As a single father I raised 4 kids.
Again, sorry. Some people can be very snarky about large families so I need to be careful about being over sensitive.
I think raising kids alone when money is tight would be very hard. My husband has me to always be there, feeding and clothing the family as frugally as possible. I have him to work several jobs so we can keep our heads above water. I can’t imagine having to do both.
Prayers up for your friends.
I was just passing through and noticed your tagline.
It’s quite clever, I like the double entendre. B^)
Thanks! They are much appreciated!
My parents have raised / are raising twelve on one salary with no government handouts of any sort, including homeschooling 10/12, so yes, I think it’s odd to ask how these folks can afford it.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful story with us. I wish them all well. Great looking kids.
