Unanswered; How do they afford such a large family? Are the teenagers working yet, what does her husband do? They could probably use some food stamps here and there, unless they grow some of their own food. Do Home Schooling parents have to pass any national certification tests?
There’s a guy I work with who has 11.
I contributed a little. This is a remarkable woman to bring 9 healthy children to the world.
I come from a large family as well and learning how to wear your brothers pants goes with it.
May God be with this family forever.
Thank you!
The husband has a very good job and has insurance but insurance only pays so much and doesn’t cover costs involved with traveling to visit Drs hotel stays during the treatment etc. They don’t get public assistance nor would they ask for it if they qualified. The requirements for homeschooling varies from state to state. I believe Stacy has a college degree but I’m not sure what but her kids are very well educated and behaved and the older kids play a big role helping take care of the younger kids. I know Walt has been getting all the kids involved learning programming and databases and technology which is what he does at work. They are good people. I’ve been doing what I can and will continue to do more. The reason I decided to tell their story is because just before Thanksgiving the cancer returned and while I have my own large family to take care of the least I could do is share their story so people who felt compelled could offer prayers and support and also be inspired by their faith. Not once did they take the faithless approach of just giving up when things got tough.
Thank you!
He’s beautiful. They are in my prayers. Thank you for sharing and please keep us posted.
Thank you! Prayers are powerful.
I’d rather watch a tv special or reality show about this family vs the eight is enough duo, or (shudder) OctoMom, wherever she is.
Thanks! They are a very good family and they probably could pull off a reality show.
Check this out. This is one of the projects the family worked on for homeschool.
