Will video kiosks work for $15.00 per hour?
“But nobody surpasses the customer service at In-N-Out and Chick-fil-A.”
I love In-N-Out but there service is to get you In-N-Out. No comparison to Chick-Fil-A.
That’s certainly a different web page than I got from the link in Post 21. The one you linked to works nicely; the one in link 21 has substantial problems.
And yes, you have to learn a fair amount of Texican given the open borders and periodic amnesties. It makes ordering at McDonald’s safer, although I live in an oriental area.
Show me somewhere else I can get a burger, fries, and a huge soft drink (with free refills) for under $4.
Where you getting that?
Weeeel, the person in the back preparing the food COULD occasionally goof up, but a lot of their help is older ladies, and they’re pretty conscientious.
Will Obammycare be expanded to include video kiosks?
The “trained” technician will hand you two probes attached to wires -
“Stick this one in your mouth and this one in your butt... Wait... it’s the other way around.”
We had an A&W in the Detroit area that had those phones back in the ‘80s.
McDonalds. A dollar for the large drink, a dollar for the burger. I think the fries are up to $1.15. So $3.15 plus tax. All the calories I need for lunch, and a re-fill on the drink as I leave will last me for the afternoon.
Or I can go to a gourmet burger chain, spend more than that on just the burger, and drink water and skip the fries.
Or I can go to a restaurant, and spend most of that on just the tip.
They do get you through quickly, but with a great attitude. Plus, everyone on the fresh fries line always look like they are having fun.:)
Back in the '90s I worked at a tobacco factory as a programmer. Some of my buddies, who programmed touch-screen terminals, said the company went this route for the same reason. A lot of their employees came from the hills in Kentucky.
...And the automatic coin change at the register because recognizing and counting coins is a bridge to far for way too many of them.
The bill would force the companies to eschew the computers in favor of illegal immigrants, but would allow them if the workers are Americans.
Excellent advice. I taught my daughter how to do drywall and plastering, among other fix-it skills. While she attended university, she got a paying job repairing dorm buildings, fixing walls, caulking and plumbing. She knew more than the guys. She's now working for a publisher but knows she can get work if necessary. Plus she gutted and remodeled her own bathroom. Teach your son plumbing, no robot can do that and it pays well. Young gal next door has a black boyfriend who was a punk but got into plumbing. He started by borrowing a van, within five years he owned several trucks and expanded the business, very impressive and it changed him to a nice guy.
I told the boy, learn a trade, make a decent wage and if you desire to get a degree in philosophy you will have the means to do it.
Actually I pushed him toward a business degree.
Some years back I worked as a night stocker at Wal-Mart. We were always undermanned, at least by a third, and my voices told me that management was doing so intentionally to keep the costs down.
I griped to the supervisors about it in our pre-shift open meetings. Finally, one of them gave us the stats: 30 people applied for night stockers; only three passed the drug test; one quit the first night, the other two didn't last a week.
I kept quiet after that.
[sidebar] One of my kids worked on the railroad. Word got around that there would be a "surprise" drug test. One of his friends smoked pot and knew he would fail, so he had his girlfriend pee in a bottle. He taped it to his inner thigh to keep it at body temp (the testers were on to that scam), took the test and waited for an OK. When the results came in, he was called in and told the good news/bad news.
The good news: the test came back negative. The bad news: he was pregnant. He was also fired.
We have Pilot in Pennsylvania as well. They are OK, like Subway, but not even in the same league as Sheetz.
The last place I am eating in Pa or Tx is a gas station.
Especially in Pa, you have to many good local places to eat.
I miss Pa/Oh Taverns
Clorox bleach yes, clorox disinfecting wipes... no
lol
I prefer the touch screen, 9 out of ten times. My order is incorrect one out of five orders.
