Upbeat Cosby expects ‘black media’ to stay neutral
NY Post ^ | December 13, 2014 | Stacy Brown

Bill Cosby broke his silence Friday, albeit briefly, to lecture the media on remaining “neutral” and to say that his wife is standing by him.

Reached at his Massachusetts home, the star declined to address the rape and sex abuse allegations from an ever-growing list of women that now includes supermodel Beverly Johnson.

Instead, Cosby, 77, said that the African-American media — for which this reporter often writes — should be impartial.

“Let me say this. I only expect the black media to uphold the standards of excellence in journalism and when you do that you have to go in with a neutral mind,” Cosby said.

He played the race card, which is used when the user knows he’s wrong. So he’s a guilty, racist POS, in my opinion.

His statement doesn’t make any sense “I only expect the black media to uphold standards of journalism, and when you do that you have to keep a neutral mind.” What?! Since when are most black media outlets ‘unbiased?’ They are far more cut and dry prejudiced against any other race but black than they were even ten years ago.

If Cosby expects this loose, superficial construct known as Black Media to stand up for him during this ‘inquisition’, he is delusional and or more desperate for support than I had imagined. The only way Cosby saves some modicum of a ‘decent’ reputation, at this point is if he decides to admit to being guilty of something along the way, and that he will undergo some form of counseling to address the issue. But to continue his stonewalling will prove to be wasted time and energy.

Any woman (or man) that waits 10,20,30,40 years to report such a rape especially when it involves a current celebrity, does not deserve credibility or the ability to ruin the life of another. It destroys the concept of justice. They were not children and I even question that when a large amount of time has passed.

The mind and memory works in funny ways and such a length of time can involve fabrication of events. It eliminates the possibility of a fair trial. It creates a situation where the defendant must defend a negative.

Of course his wife supports him; without his money and connections, she would lose her posh lifestyle and the status/VP treatment she gets as his wife. She knows this.

One thing I know, is that his example never seemed to lift anyone or inspire anyone in the ghetto community that he rants to, to better themselves.

By their fruits you shall know them!

I guess in your mind, because we don’t have a dead body, that facts don’t matter. Sorry Pal, NoSale. I want to see Cosby answer these women’s questions in a court of law. Better still have to take a lie detector test as a precursor. He has never really come out and said these human violations didn’t happen. And there are more people involved ( like the old guy who worked in NYC at the Cosby Studio paying off people to be quiet) that need to be put on the witness stand. You remind me of a former employee who was convinced that OJ Simpson didn’t do it simply be cause he was a “sports figure.”

Exactly. He was asking HER to play nice. He was not seeking to make a statement. Dollars to donughts she mischaracterized what she said.
