If that had been my husband with an asthma attack and me behind the wheel, there would have been no stopping, and definitely no begging. I’d have kept going, cop be damned.
If that had been my husband with an asthma attack and me behind the wheel, there would have been no stopping, and definitely no begging. Id have kept going, cop be damned.
Exactly. Why the heck did they stop?
Exactly. Let the officer arrest you after notifying the hospital of your husband’s situation and go before a jury.

...
If you’re going to take matters into your hands, you might as well go all the way.
Same here. You can arrest me at the hospital.
I’d call 911 on the way there if a cop was behind me with his lights on to let them know where I’m going and why.
But otherwise I’m not stopping.
I agree. They can talk to me at the emergency room.
In fact, vulnerable people shouldn’t allow themselves to be pulled over in vulverable places at vulnerable times.
We need an understanding that a vehicle pulled over can proced to the next exit, and go to the nearest open service station.
That makes it safer for both driver and police. Safe from accusation, safe from abuse, safe from traffic.
I’ve seen folks pulled over in the most insanely tight locations in high traffic. It’s just pure ignorance on the part of the police.
Absolutely, but expect a bad ass kicking when you stop at the emergency room.
Smart ..... life saved overrides contempt of cop in my book as well.
There you are. Settle it later except in the age the cop would probably shoot at your car.
she should have kept’going, and got arrested at the hospital. then fought it in court, if the cop didn’t shoot her before arresting her.
“If that had been my husband with an asthma attack and me behind the wheel, there would have been no stopping, and definitely no begging. Id have kept going, cop be damned.”
They probably thought he would help them. They were wrong.
Looks like a nice lawsuit.

Ditto.
