Your welcome - no heroics - but a real life view of what it was like for the thousands of grunts fighting. He talked about how when he first got there he could always score rations with pork.
After a week or so and seeing combat, they would come across pigs eating the dead Germans along the side of the road. No more pork for him after that either!
