See you read my personal page. Airborne tanks. That would be light weight Sheridans. He was 82nd at that time. They drop the tanks separately with multiple parachutes, and the troops individually. While they had that capability, I don’t think that option was exercised during Gulf War I. Also they finally got their new tanks just before the land war began in the winter of 90-91. He sent some great photos, I should probably have the film negatives worked up as a disk and put on my computer.

Can’t imagine being some guy in the Afgan countryside all of a sudden seeing American tanks flying to earth.
