I was in my very early 20s so I fit a "profile" of someone working at Macy's.I politely told her no, but would be glad to help her if I could.
Was I offended?
Nope.
The prez and mybell need to get over it.
They’re just upset that they were mistaken for people who actually work for a living and provide value to society.
And THAT is exactly why anyone working at Macy’s should wear a uniform. LOL! :>} I would have done the same thing as you. Offered to help or find an actual employee to assist. It takes a WHOLE lot for me to be offended. Not to mention that at my age, I now have the elder abuse card to toss out if I need to. LOL!
I’m a 60-something white guy who lives in the People’s Republic of New Jersey. One of our state’s stranger laws is the one that prohibits you from pumping your own gas. On a recent, unusually springlike day, my car was getting filled and I decided to stretch my legs. As I was standing next to my car, a guy pulled up, saw me standing there, and asked me to “fill ‘er up!” We both laughed when I said I didn’t work there. If I were Black, would that qualify as racism?
I told her I could be.....!!! HA!!!
I ask people to help me all the time, as I’m sort of handicapped right now, plus was recovering from surgery for about 2 months. Did I practice racism if I asked a black customer to help me? OMG! the horror!
and i’m tall (but weakened)
