It’s a dead horse issue ... the girl (woman now) does not even want it adjudicated. She has no problem leaving things alone.
But if some want to pursue it, I would say to go to the original plea deal on the table ... dismissal of the five initial charges in exchange for a guilty plea to the lesser charge of engaging in unlawful sexual intercourse. Then sentence on whatever the term would be for that, and suspend the time.
Case over, at that point ...

I pretty much agree with you. There’s no excuse for what he did, but I can’t begin to imagine the brain-twisting that the whole Manson murder of his wife and child did to his mind. But, again, that’s no excuse.
