It sure makes the whole process of how this Jesuit came to be the Pope a suspect one.
I would blame it on dryrot in the organization.
Perhaps Francis will soon issue a statement of support for Presidential Candidacy of Fellow Jesuit Jerry Moonbeam Brown !
Everytime they pick a Bad Pope ,they get bad Bishops and Cardinals ,which gives even worst Pope ,etc etc etc,like what’s happing in the US

Of most concern to me are the gullible but faithful young people who will eagerly accept the idea of letting government do the work of church rather than understanding that Jesus spoke to us as individuals.
Wallis has been particularly effective in spreading this heresy in the northern hemisphere. The Marxist clergy in South America has been highly influential in the socialist states there.
It’s intertwined with the abandonment of personal responsibility in society as a whole. The state was never to take the place of individual believers, collectively “the church,” in serving our fellow man physically and spiritually.

After more than 50 years of violations of their human rights, is inconceivable that once again the Cuban people is betrayed by those most called to defend and demand their right to freedom and the respect for their human dignity. Pope Francis negotiated and blessed a Faustian accord in which an apprentice of tyrant came to the rescue of the regimen of a genocide tyrant throwing under bus and condemning the Cuban people to eternal damnation. By this accord, the American taxpayers will keep afloat the Cuban government assuming the financing the Stalinist regime.
