Somehow I don’t seem to be too worried that we only have 4800 nukes...
We should have more nukes than any other single country does. We are America. End of story. I suppose we could have a large number of multiple warheads counted as one, but I want my country to be intimidating as hell to the enemy, not to appear feeble with a degraded nuclear stores.
Will 4,800 nuclear weapons deter a country from attacking you? Mine shaft gap.
We still have plenty to wipe out anyone that threatens us, multiple targets as well (and they are likely not including in the number of all the nukes we have onboard submarines and ships). But again, with O tripping the lights fantastic with the Nuclear Football at his command, we unfortunately will see him stash it aside as he sits in his bunker slugging down drinks and watching a couple of major cities get decimated.
Yep, 4800 is enough to destroy every major city on Earth multiple times over. Not a big deal. 30k is a little excessive and that means less maintenance. As long as we have around 4000, I think that number is perfect. When in a nuclear war will one country need to launch 30,000? When would we ever need to use 30,000 nukes? Enlighten me here.
