I’m pretty sure the man values principle more than he values monney.

Which is why his Radio show is available online free of charge and only recently started inserting a few commercials. I recall him saying once they were always pressuring him to put commercials in the podcast and he kept telling them his show already made plenty of money.

We rented it for eight years with Reagan but they fixed that anomaly.

One of the biggest mistakes from Reagan was his selecting (by coersion of the GOP elite) Bush as his running mate.

We have been stuck with the Bush family ever since. Now, we may be looking at a Jeb nomination, and in the near future, a George P run. And we know they are pushing us closer to the NWO and North American Union.

An Article V that does not first address term limits is not going to accomplishment much. And the old guard from both parties will fight that tooth and nail.

Except that "the old guard" won't be involved.

Term limits is high on the list of the Article V Movement. And it would pass -- because the people making the determination on term limits for Senators and Congressmen would not themselves be affected (state legislators, delegates, etc.).

And the RINOs in the GOP establishment deserve every bit of that criticism.

Levin is trying to awaken the base and turn the GOP back to its roots...and to the platform it espouses. It is those RINOs, who trample that platform and show by their actions that they do not believe in it who should leave the part...not Levin.

You joke, right?

They, the Leftists, the Progressives, will have lawyers lined up from California to DC. They will challenge every bit of the A-V results that they don't like.

Resulting A-V amendments will take a decade to get through the various state legislatures.

I just don't see how new amendments are going to corral those who are ignoring the amendments and laws we already have.

I generally agree with this. It's similar to how gun control laws are only effective for those who obey laws, and thus are not needed to start, and have no effect at all on the lawless.

However, it is still the last possible "civil" solution in my eyes. If we cannot regain control through civil means, then there is really only one further option.

An Article V that does not first address term limits is not going to accomplishment much. And the old guard from both parties will fight that tooth and nail.

One of his proposed amendments provides term limits. Clearly, this is a MUST. Another of his amendments returns appointments of senators by state governments and not elections, if I am not mistaken.

Yeah, I listen to his live stream each day via his website.

I am out here in the boon docks, so no radio station that carries him reaches me otherwise.

Levin has always stuck me as a principled man, and not a salesman as others in this thread would suggest.

So?

Are you inferring that we shouldn't even bother to try?

“Farmers listen to cows and pigs every day without becoming too attached to them. It seems to me that you may be on the “cult” side.”

If you really are a conservative (instead of a troll), wouldn’t it be more productive to aim your arrows at progressives rather than insulting conservatives by inferring they are likely mindless “cultists”?

One of the biggest mistakes from Reagan was his selecting (by coersion of the GOP elite) Bush as his running mate.

I watched that convention and was disgusted by the decision, but like all the other conventions I had no control over any of it. Sort of like cheering at a wrestling match, we can cheer all we want but the outcome is always predetermined.

Sort of like my state's Republican presidential primary. It is held so late in the spring that the nominee has already been selected weeks earlier.

Thanks kindly.

Dude seems kind of needlessly hostile.

I would not have responded to your post had you not mentioned “My insults” to conservatives. I have been insulted as has everyone on this site who has expressed some opinion that does not hew to the obvious majority of posters who spend their mental energy on inventing third grade spellings. I have been a movement conservative since before most posters on this site were born, but I also am a republican, and I do not apologize for it. This country operates on majority rule, and it often get things wrong, but when corrections take place, and they most often do on a cyclical basis, it is still the majority that makes the corrections. Rather than take a breath and see what happens when the new congress is seated there is a cheering section urging failure in the most petty of ways.

And you accuse me of insulting those who routinely respond to posters with whom they disagree in the most foul language(still prohibited I'm to understand, but seldom corrected). If I ever do insult anyone you will know it, but I will not be one of those using language I couldn't use in church or your grand child's schoolroom, which, by the way, much of the internet is. Now go on and have your say, but remember the first amendment is still very much a part of our constitution.

It’s childish but I give you the benefit of a doubt. It is free speech.

You said something very important that may be overlooked.

“see what happens when the new Congress is seated”

Everyone acts like the existing, reelected Congress is doing something new by lying in their reelection efforts (including Levin). Let’s face it, most politicians are liars.

But maybe the newly elected pols won’t be. Ya never know. I’ll keep my surprised and happy face handy.
