I recall a prizefight when Muhammad Ali, then the reigning champion, fought George Foreman, he of the powerful punch. Foreman caught Ali with a right full on to the head, as hard as he could hit. He later said he honest to god thought he might have killed Ali. Before he could make his next move Ali hit him with a six-punch combination.

The Left does not retreat and it never quits. It adapts, like a virus. If electoral politics stops working they will resort to other tactics...like maybe shooting cops in the street and fomenting the long wished-for race and class warfare.

We may be dismayed at how irrelevant the recent elections turn out to be in dangerous times.

Yeah, but ultimately Ali wound up paying for it.
