Rudy, warts and all, would have been a much better POTUS than anyone the Republicans have nominated since Reagan.

He was intolerable to Social Conservatives.

Instead, look at the litany of losers the GOP has nominated.

Said like a true New Yorker, Rudy! Very direct and to the point.

The protests have been not only “anti-police” but totally “anti-white.” What I see in these demonstrations is a bunch of angry, misinformed neo-racists.

(Misinformed because they don’t even understand the proper analyses Brown’s obvious attack-on-police in Ferguson).

I’m concerned the violence against police could become like it is in Mexico where the police have been effectively neutered by murders & decapitations of police officers. The US has to do everything it can to prevent that from happening here!

The not-surprising thing is that a lot of the “protestors” have been white. The four who have so far been arrested in the attack on the police on a bridge were all white, and included an SEIU union organizer, a Columbia U grad, a Baruch professor, and a professor at some other university I have forgotten.

In other words, the academic and union left strikes again. The blacks are being motivated by race demagogues like Sharpton and Obama or lunatics from the various Muslim factions (many of the protestors in any photo anywhere can be seen wearing headscarves or other items of Muslim dress). The Occupy crowd, which is composed mostly of whites, drawn from the academy or government or labor union environments, is taking advantage of this.

What I think you will find is that few to no black people who are normal human beings with families and jobs (or even without them) are participating.

This is a leftist/Muslim political attack where black racist activism is being used as the fuel and also as protection against any control by the authorities.

I'm wondering if he's ramping up for 2016.

Yep. First and foremost, secure and defend the country.

"I'm wondering if he's ramping up for 2016." Doubtful. Social conservatives are once again prepared to tear him apart in the primaries in order to secure a GOP candidate who is pro-amnesty, pro open borders, pro islam is a religion of peace, ...

How was he in a different class?????? Seriously.

Sorry, I have yet to see any social liberal stand for anything once in Washington....They are the problem with our party.....they are the Rinos. A total wast of a vote.

Guilliani belongs in NY. He is a shining star there and should have run for Governor. Just as Romney needed to stay in Massachusetts and Christi needs to stay in NJ. The rest of the US republicans can not stomach them representing them.

The South and Mid West will not vote for a liberal North Eastern Republican, they stay home when liberals run....just look at our voting history if you ever want this party to win. GIVE THEM SOMEONE TO VOTE FOR FOR ONCE. Someone please get smart enough to figure our base out it is not like it is very hard to figure out who wins and who loses historically.

The federal government wants to take over all police departments. If they can make all police hated it makes the takeover easier.

Rudy’s right. The question now is whether the responsible parties will be held accountable.

Rudy was socially liberal because that was the only way he could have gotten elected in NYC.

I think he would have been less liberal as POTUS because there would have been more pressure on him to govern conservatively.

The ones who choose the candidates don't answer to the base, so there's no need for them to have to discern what the base wants.
