No particular point. Trying to gain a perspective about the rate of death for cops versus civilians. Like the other FReeper said, it saved him looking it up.
If cops were being killed at 10 times the rate of civilians, or 1/4th the rate of civilians, that would be notable. But neither the absolute numbers or rate are wildly out of line either high or low. Just interesting.
Cops aren’t civilians?
As an Army veteran I’m not comfortable with the local cop talking about himself as though he isn’t a civilian, and the rest of us are.
