I’ve worked around lefties for many years and know them well. They are mean spirited elitists and intolerant ideologues. And they play by their own rules.

Lefties are not the least bit interested in a respectful dialogue or in practical compromise. The only thing they believe is that their utopian ends justify whatever means they employ. That makes them very dangerous.

We live in a country that is daily witnessing the erosion of any societal standards.

Which leads to one of two things in dealing with them. You either let it be known from the get go that the moment they start with ad hominems and or invective you'll paste them one right in the mouth or you just don't deal with them at all and beat them at the ballot box. I've found in doing the former as seemingly shocked or more spurious they become if you hold your ground, literally and figuratively and level a fixed and determined stare at them they realize you're not kidding and you mean what you say. That's when they back off. It's sad that this is what it has come to but they set they sowed the seed. And someday, maybe that day is dawning, but they will reap the whirlwind.
