Can I give my gun to someone then sell them the gun carry case for 500 bucks?

That may be one way. LOL! They’re still trying to get all their “i’s” dotted and “t’s” crossed in Washington under I-594 since it appears that all the definitions are unclear.

They just passed the new gun law here in Washington state using tens of millions of dollars. All the TV ads pushed as preventing gun sales to criminals.

It outlaws any transfer of guns other than an outright gift to a close relative, or loaning to your spouse at a certified gun range, or someone under 18 at the gun range. You can loan it to a relative in imminent danger. Not sure if that means the day her estranged husband is released from prison - or if he has to be beating down the door. (I imagine there is some legalize that covers the word “imminent”).

No sales to relatives or friends.
No letting my 19 year-old son use my gun at the range.
You can make gifts to close relatives.
Of course - there is no mechanism to enforce most of this.

It was already illegal to sell to someone who couldn't possess a gun, so almost all internet sales the seller requested a friendly “show me your CCW permit” before the trade was made.
