I agree; I think all of the freebies and affimrative action thrown their way by government have convinced blacks that they are genetically inferior. Back when I was in school, I remember in my freshman year the confused looks on some black students’ faces as the professor discussed various topics; after realizing how far behind they were, many simply dropped out before the first semester was halfway finished. They obviously knew they were unprepared, and not on the same level as the rainbow of other students in the classes. I’d imagine that causes a lot of resentment as well...
The civil war in Liberia twenty years ago was spurred by the “American Liberians” (descendants of freed slaves) mistreating the “African Liberians” (whose descendants had never left Africa). The African Liberians won, and don’t intend to be subjugated by the American Liberians again.
While this was relayed to me by an “African Liberian”, the conciliatory tone struck by the current president seems to confirm it.
