That's pretty important, isn't it? It actually works to the benefit of our position that, rather than learning their lesson about carefully choosing who they promote, the Left keeps doubling down on losers whose actions make our case for us. To wit:

Trayvon Martin: doubled back to lay a beat-down on what he told his gal-pal he thought was a gay stalker. Forensics demonstrate that the was on top of Zimmerman, beating Zimmerman's head into the concrete curb when the fatal shot was fired.

Mike Brown: Strong arm robbed a convenience store, roughed up the owner. All caught on camera. Forensics demonstrate that he physically attacked Wilson through the window of his police SUV, making a play for Wilson's gun. Forensics further demonstrate that, after fleeing the scene, Brown turned and charged back at Wilson, falling dead 25 yards closer to Wilson than where blood drops show he stopped and turned.

Garner: Cops called in after multiple calls by Black-owned businesses complaining about how his selling of loosies was undermining their sales. Shown on camera clearly agitated at police and resisting arrest. Supervising officer on the scene was a Black female police Sgt. Forensics show that, rather than a "chokehold" (which crushes the windpipe) the officer was employing a standard submission hold that applied force to the side of the neck, not the front.

This latest guy: caught on camera pulling a gun on a cop. Now there's some indication/allegations that he was trying to set up an ambush for the cops.

In every case above, the person the Left latched onto as their poster-child for their cause turned out to be not only flawed, but so severely flawed that they actually discredited the case that the Left wanted to make. Meaning that they really aren't "martyrs" but rather "pretexts" for something the Left has been itching to do for some time now.

It's like they never even heard the name "Claudette Colvin" ... let alone are aware of the history of why she was bypassed and Rosa Parks became the face of the Montgomery Bus Boycott. And Colvin's only "issue" for being the face of the boycott is that she was pregnant out of wedlock so Civil Rights leaders (of the time) decided she was too-flawed a candidate to rally around.
