De Blasio Confronts a Crisis Over the Police and Race With a Practiced Calm
NY Times ^ | 12/23/14 | MICHAEL M. GRYNBAUM, NIKITA STEWART

Mayor Bill de Blasio, confronting the gravest crisis of his young administration, has been by turns composed and defiant, empathetic and indignant, urging calm in one moment and lashing out in frustration the next.

In other words, he has acted like himself: a confident but mercurial leader whose singular political style has not wavered, even in the face of a potentially career-defining flash point over the police and race.

Well, I sure am glad that he's calm. Are the protesters taking off Christmas day?

“a confident but mercurial leader whose singular political style has not wavered”

Leave it to NYT to describe their favorite Communist who’s a flake as “mercurial”.

Is it any wonder they have to fire a couple hundred “journalist” every year because no one will pay to read their crap anymore?

Wow, the Times Progressive Media Pimps sure had to do some serious “word smithing” to come up with that load of crap to support the Commie. I think they have set a new record for groveling, sniveling and bootlicking in the media world.

A well organized and funded recall effort would have this guy out of office by June.

New York, like most of our older states, lacks a recall provision in the state constitution. The mayor of New York City can’t be recalled.

De Blasio’s nightmare: New York’s mayor has lost the police — and maybe much more than that.

Well, that certainly provides the path forward for far worse outcomes other than being recalled!

Being recalled is the only remedy to improper conduct of an elected official in a civil democracy / elected republic. Without a recall mechanism, Romania still carried out their own special recall election.
