Great idea if criminals are required to have this also. That way, when the unit malfunctions — and it will — during a crisis situation, the cop might have an even chance.

After all, chivalry is more important than anything.

The key malfunction is that less-than-1% of LEOs that believe they have a right to brutalize whomever they chose, that give the rest an undeserved name.

A camera to weapon link could be made Mil Spec robust without difficulty.
