There re two New Yorks:

I would say three.

The Finger Lakes wine grape growing and tourist area has been growing rapidly for thirty years.

I visited there this past November and was impressed by the beauty of the area and the prosperity that was obvious in the availability of fine restaurants and hotels.

The odd thing that I noticed was that all of the wineries closed at 5 pm. Seems counter intuitive to me.

We have a really good friend that left California and bought a bed and breakfast in the Finger Lakes region. He is also a graduate of the Cordon Bleu cooking school so does catering. He is doing much better there than he was here.
