A man was fatally shot about 2:48 p.m. on the 300 block of East 47th Street in Bronzeville, said Police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala.

Years ago I was at a gas station late one night waiting in line to pay. Guy in front of me says to the attendant behind thick Plexiglas “this is a robbery”. Then he said “just kidding”. Nobody else there thought it was funny and the attendant didn’t think so either. We just looked at each other like, what a moron. I have no doubt the attendant had a weapon behind there.

Yes. It sounds like he open-carried a firearm into a public alley when under no immediate threat and then discharged said firearm inside the city limits.
