Canning Scalise would make him look guilty which perpetuates the false scenario.
That would be like Cruz quitting because he ate lunch with a woman who was not his wife and the left accused him of adultery.
But it sure sounds like he’s way too tolerant of and friendly with racists. The whole leadership should go. If he were an actual conservative Boehner and crew would have him so far under the bus by now the whole tea party would somehow be implicated.
Poor example with Cruz. However, if that particular woman, in your scenario, was someone like Deborah Jeane Palfrey, there’d be a real cause for concern. People knew who and what she was. I believe Scalise knew to whom he was speaking.
