Cops should not be revenooers.

We could use some of that here, Maine drivers are the worst. They're much like those in the Russian bad drivers videos.

Cops should be giving ticket to tailgaters, blow-around drivers, red-light and stop sign runners. Half the revenue should go to the town where the ticket was given.

We'd become a rich state and have the best drivers in the Northeast.

The police are not the ones being lawless. They were sworn to protect and defend the law, not Warren and his lawbreaking minions.

This is a non-violent protest, which is perfectly within their rights.

Yeah, I agree. I foresee the same thing happening this time around, alas (for the GOP national election).

I was hoping that conservatives would have learned and that even the RINOs (if they want to win) will stop supporting somebody who is a candidate just because he has enough money of his own to run for office. As for these people (such as Romney), they’re ego driven and nothing would make them give up their run for the good of the country.

aren’t police contracted entities and does it matter?

They need to return to “Broken Windows” policing. But if Comrade DeBlasio won’t allow that, then show the world why it’s needed.

Then maybe people can think of that the next time they start liking the idea of innocent cops being shot.

You mean like Comrade Mayor?

But is the American military turning their backs on the Commander in Chief? Showing contempt for him?

No, but they should. Were I still in the Army, I definitely would show as much contempt for Caliph Hussein as I could.

The author seems to have things exactly backward. Silence is consent and sometimes doctors have to break a crooked arm to reset it.
This is another reminder that the Left really only believes in “Free speech” that they like.

Police officers on the other hand are civilians...

Try telling them that.

Good.

Democracy, aka mob rule, has a long track record of being a bad idea.

In short they have no similarities, except that some of the personnel in each wear uniforms, and some of the personnel in each have guns.

I can't tell you how many times I have posted this same idea. There is no comparison.

Why then, do conservative folks cheer when the NYPD union says it is a war?

But police disrespect of the mayor at a private function is a First Amendment right, and is unrelated to dereliction of duty, collective bargaining, or indeed, any aspect of their professional conduct. Kaiser Wilhelm asked for that disrespect, and he will now get all of it that he can stand.

Agree.

But what of their union work stoppage? Legal or not, it lets you know that cop unions are the same as any other union. Conservatives SHOULD NOT give them a pass.
