Santana’s cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Black Magic Woman” with Gregg Rolie on lead vocals hit #4 on the singles chart in 1971 too.
Apparently Schon got back together with Santana in April of 2014 (well, it’s last year for me).
It is? Wow. That statement just blows my mind.
Re. Modern Music. Are you familiar with a performing artist most popular in the 1980’s? Her name is Lori Anderson. She is now best known as Lou Reeds widow. Lori was clever and professional in a Talking Heads manner of ironic communication. I discovered both Lori Anderson and Thee Philip Glass of Koyaniskatsi in the same year of 1983.
I like Alice Cooper but I strongly disagree. The world belongs to God, not Satan.
Satan has zero control. ZERO. He WORKS for God, not against. Read Job if you don’t believe me.
The entire notion of God vs. Satan is unbiblical and of pagan origin.
LOL.
As soon as I saw “Alice”, I thought of you, and started scrolling to see if you had been pinged.
You found it before I got the chance, girl!
Happy Hew Year to you, the hubby, the snakes and the dogs.
WHAT a fabulous series of movies that was. Hollyweird CAN come up with some great stuff...occasionally.
“Alice Cooper, Christian....”
is about where I stopped reading
Yep. I saw Journey live when it first formed, in a packed college gym. Neal Schon finished a song (I forget which) on his knees at the front of the stage after a monster extended solo that basically blew down the walls and left the entire crowd stunned. As the final cord died he said, quite clearly and with a lot of anger, "beat that, Carlos."
I like all of Journey's stuff, but for me there's Journey before Steve Perry (their first three albums), and then everything else they did. It's almost like they became a completely different band. And my preference has always been the early stuff.
Happy HAPPY New Year!
In the Book of Revelation, Jesus will reclaim the Earth.
Wasn’t Steve Perry the drummer on the early stuff and Greg Rolie was the singer?
I was using that reference to reference something else, entirely. LOL

I just saw it.
I would have.
I believe it’s, “Laurie” Anderson.
In her own right, a brilliant composer and musician.
Artsy-fartsy and as liberal as they come....but brilliant.
I’m a’tellin’ ya, that snake watched at least the first few seconds of this video...LOL

I know you would have.
