“Home” eggs are much better anyway.
Plus, with a couple of chickens, you don’t run nearly the amount of food waste down the drain or in the garbage/landfill.

We have a compost pile that the chickens have access to. It seems to remain pretty much empty, even after several months.

I have a small flock and get about 6-7 eggs every day. haven't bought eggs in forever and the widows at church love getting real eggs like the ones they grew up on.

I have 6 hens and can tell you first hand. Their eggs are far better than store bought!
