Obama’s gift for Israel and Mid East: Funding for a new Iraqi army dominated by Iran’s Rev Guards

President Barack Obama’s New Year gift to Israel and the Middle East is a multibillion fund for establishing an Iraqi army as a division of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards (IRGC). Wednesday, the last day of 2014, two defense ministers, Iran’s Brig. Gen. Hossein Dehqani and Iraq’s Khallid al-Obeidi, signed a pact whereby Iran i.e. the Revolutionary Guards, will “continue to train new Iraqi military units" for replacing the army that crumbled under the onslaught launched by the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant since last June. “We do not see any other option than cooperation and being on the same side as Iran to uproot the terrorists,” said the Iraqi general. But he carefully avoided mentioning the 1,850 US soldiers posted to Baghdad, Kurdistan’s Irbil and the Al Asad air base in the western province of Anbar, or the 1,300 addition American combat troops, including paratroops of the elite 82nd Airborne Division’s 3rd Brigade Combat Team.

The 3,150 US troops currently serving in Iraq are therefore sharing the task of rebuilding Iraqi military units with Iran’s Revolutionary Guards!

Two other key points glossed over by the two defense ministers are revealed here by debkafile’s exclusive military and intelligence sources: The sources of financing and recruits.

On the quiet, President Obama has promised Tehran and Baghdad to put up the funding for the new Iraqi army. It is to come out of the US budgetary allocation for the war on terror – a truly ironic gesture considering the missions of the Revolutionary Guards Corps’s pro-active arm, its Al Qods Brigades, which are primarily to orchestrate external terrorism.

The source of the new manpower was disclosed by Deputy Commander of the IRGC Brig. Gen. Hossein Salami, when he announced this week that Iran was assembling a mighty army from the various Shiite militias fighting in Syria and Iraq. “This force will be larger even than the Lebanese Hizballah,” he boasted.

All those militias are under the direct command of the Guards. Therefore, the Obama administration has committed the United States to forging a strong military bond with Tehran and providing military and financial assistance for the creation of a strong regional Shiite armed force that will elevate Iran to the standing of leading military power in the Middle East.

US-Iranian cooperation in the war on ISIS is already in full swing in Iraq between the US officers and troops posted there and the headquarters of Iranian Al Qods Brigades Commander, Gen. Qassem Soleimani. Iraq’s Shiite Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi provides liaison. So closely are the two forces aligned, that no Iraqi Shiite operation goes forward without first being cleared with the US command.

If Iran and the IS are fighting each other, then they can’t be fighting Israel.

Obama is anti-Israel along with a lot of the rest of the world but in the coming year Russia, Iran, Syria, the Saudis, the EU and the US may all be entangled in war messes that Israel is conveniently out of.

Has Israel been pursuing a strategy of dividing its enemies?

I’ve heard of Israeli support for rebels in Syria and they have done a few airstrikes against Assad in recent years.

I’ve also read of ex-IDF helping the Ukrainian militias now fighting the Russian militias.

The Saudis who share common enemies with Israel have hurt Russia and Iran with their oil production levels lately driving down the price.

If Iran is fighting DAESH in Iraq, then Iran is in Iraq, and will not leave after DAESH is broken.

There’s no need for the “Protocols of the Elders of Zion” complex in this situation.

From what I read and hear the conflict between Israel and Iran over the nuclear program is very serious because Obama is on Iran’s side along with Russia, the EU and so on. Then add in the Palestinian state issue with pressure from Obama and the EU, the Russians and so on.

Israel is cornered is the impression I get and I fully understand resorting to extreme measures to deal with its wide and diverse array of adversaries.

Glenn Beck made a comment a few months back about being a supporter of Israel but not wanting the United States sucked into the region militarily to defend Israel. In political terms, the “Israel Lobby” in the US is linked to defense contractor-neocon RINO’s Lindsey Graham and John McCain, the “hawks” on ISIS.

Fidel Castro said after 9/11 that “progressive movements” around the world like the “Palestinians” suffered a setback because of it. Castro was right on that one in a backhanded way, the Commies use of terrorism was rendered taboo by Bin-Laden’s use of it. A few months ago Castro said that the IS movement was created by the Mossad. A stretch, but Israel clearly has played an anti-Assad role during the of some sort during the civil war helping to boil the pot that IS came out of.

There is another possible scenario to consider. The big differences between Obama and Israel are blown up so that Netanyahu can look tough, win the upcoming election then pursue a John Boehner policy in the end.

I remember the Vietnam War with incursions and bombing campaigns and cease-fire’s and so on. Hamas was fought that way during the rocket fire last summer.

Just as we have a TEA PARTY and people who are more conservative than the GOPe, there are conservative forces in Israel contesting the upcoming election than Mr. Romney’s “friend” Bibi Netanyahu. The Lieberman party has been targeted on corruption just in time for the election but there is also the Jewish Homeland Party of Naftali Bennett.

Bennett clashed with Bibi over the Hamas-Gaza policy during the rocket fire last summer.

After the election do we get cave in deals from Netanyahu on Iran and or the Palestinians with Israel under world wide pressure.

Will new anti-missile technology with the cooperation of US defense contractors, whose friends are the same as the “Israel Lobby” senators McCain and Graham, be touted as offering Israel security on Iran?????

Will US military involvement in the region be part of some future Palestinian state deal to help secure the new territories, prevent terrorism?????
