Translation: Don't stop now to think comrades, the Right is just trying to scare you. Remember what you've been taught to believe and remain together, steadfast on the socialist journey to communist paradise.

Meanwhile, the leftists on their networks are leading choruses of “Happy Days Are Here Again” with nobody watching them. Yeah, Fox only has fear, and HUGE audiences.

Roosevelt was able to both save and fundamentally transform both American capitalism and its surrounding political culture, virtually creating the modern middle class out of the ruins of the Great Depression.

With liberal pap like this, you don't need to read the entire screed to know that this is just nonsense.

Republicans in state governments plan juggernaut of conservative legislation "....The unprecedented breadth of the Republican majority — the party now controls 31 governorships and 68 of 98 partisan legislative chambers — all but guarantees a new tide of conservative laws. Republicans plan to launch a fresh assault on the Common Core education standards, press abortion regulations, cut personal and corporate income taxes and take up dozens of measures challenging the power of labor unions and the Environmental Protection Agency. "....

I don’t think the author has taken into account that voters seeing or being told the truth about the true reasons for many of Obama’s actions and the resulting consequences might be the reason. Truth reveals lies or what they are and Obama is a master liar and deceiver. The voters merely saw the truth and want no more of his kind in office. Simple as that, author.

What does the Left offer other than fear?

Fear of a warming planet.
Fear that granny will be pushed off a cliff.
Fear of gay-bashing that will happen if gays can’t marry.
Fear of our guns.
Fear of the “War on Women”.
Fear of law and order.
Fear of profits.

Their whole agenda is based on, “If you don’t vote for us, the following catastrophes will happen:...”

J.R. Dunn: Democrats Unveil the Weapon of the Future ".......So what is a political movement to do, particularly one as fanatic and apocalyptic as this one? Well, if you have an alternate system made up of outside organizations not subject to governmental oversight, a system populated with self-selected fanatics and true believers, a system poised and ready to march, you can do what was done in Wisconsin. You can turn the superstructure loose to threaten the public peace, smash things up, abuse the electoral process, create a media spectacle, and pressure the state to do things your way. You can use nonpolitical organizations (in the electoral sense) to get a political result.".....

In the mid-term elections, the GOP’s not-so-secret weapon was fear.

In every election, the Democrats' not-so-secret weapon is Envy.

And Fear is not one of the Seven Deadly Sins... :)

Paul Rosenberg is a California-based writer/activist .. and a columnist for Al Jazeera English

Yet another clueless dhimmi, merrily whistling his way to a muzi oven.

Hey Paul, here's a big clue for free > mere verbosity demonstrates neither truth nor wisdom, and is often a subterfuge for undermining both.

Fear is a bad thing??? We should fear things that are evil, and work very hard to defeat them.

What does the Left offer other than fear?

LIES "......As a student of the left, Jamie Glazov, has observed in an article about the middle-class defenders of recently captured Seventies terrorist Kathy Soliah: "if you can successfully camouflage your own pathology and hatred with a concern for the 'poor' and the 'downtrodden,' then there will always be a 'progressive' milieu to support and defend you."* Huey Newton, George Jackson, Bernadine Dohrn, Sylvia Baraldini, Rubin Carter, Mumia Abu-Jamal, Rigoberta Menchu and innumerable others have all discovered this principle in the course of their criminal careers.

There is a superficial sense, of course, in which we were civil rights and peace activists—and that is certainly the way I would have described myself at the time, particularly if I were speaking to a non-left audience. It is certainly the way Mrs. Clinton and my former comrades in the left refer to themselves and their pasts in similar contexts today.

But they are lying. (And when they defend racial preferences now—a principle they denounced as "racist" then—even they must know it).

The first truth about leftist missionaries, about believing progressives, is that they are liars. But they are not liars in the ordinary way, which is to say by choice. They are liars by necessity—often without even realizing that they are. Because they also lie to themselves. It is the political lie that gives their cause its life."...

One thing you can depend on from the left and that is endless verbage nonsense. How one could sit down and read through this crap is beyond me. I am thankful for my ADD/ADHD.

Paul Rosenberg tells some lies:
In the mid-term elections, the GOP's not-so-secret weapon was fear. Fear of Ebola, fear of ISIS, and fear of immigrants all played a significant role in shaping the pre-election political climate, and Democrats for the most part, responded by hunkering down into a defensive crouch.
Aw, those poor victimized innocent Democrats.

The Demagogic Party does nothing but instill fear -- fear of global warming (or more accurately, scapegoating people who just want to live their lives and earn a living), fear of pro-lifers, fear of 'endless war' (that phrase also crops up among faux conservatives), fear of guns, fear of gun owners, fear of Tea Partiers (although the leftist pigs generally use the phrase "tea baggers"), and of course, everyone's favorite, the fear of -phobics and -phobia.

Only an a-hole would fall for the Demwit agitprop. And a-holes should not be allowed to vote. Banning the Demagogic Party will eventually have to happen. If I'm to be forced to live in a single party state, it sure as Hell won't be their party.

even despite the greater-than-hoped-for success of Obamacare

What is happening with ObamaCare is hardly success. Having more people fear NOT signing up for ObamaCare is not success, even if the majority of citizens sign up for it. The cost of coverage is way too high to be classified as success.
