Barack Obama and the rest of the class-warfare crowd act as if “tax the rich” is an appropriate answer to every question about fiscal policy.

I’m not joking. Here are some of the President’s main tax hikes that have been enacted or proposed.

A “fair” share? How about treating everyone equally? Is that not the definition of fair? How about a flat tax or a use-based tax? This graduated scale is anything but fair.

A "fair share?" First, eliminate the waste. Deport all illegals. They contribute nothing; take everything; are a constant drain on our economy.

Give welfare to the unemployed for six months. Give them a chance to get back on their feet. Eliminate "generational" welfare. I've known of families who have five generations of welfare deadbeats.

Do that for starters, and we'll discover a huge surplus in tax dollars. Enough to even lower taxes across the board.

Doesn’t matter, the rich ‘collect’ their taxes from the poor.
That’s not criticizing the rich: they earn their money by providing benefits to the poor and that is where money the they pay to taxes have to come from.

They will- and must- maintain the same ROI after taxes.

In the Old Testament, every Jewish male had to pay the same AMOUNT, not percentage. Even a flat tax requires more from some than others, so it is progressive.

Not saying I am against a flat tax, just want to move the line that defines progressive/regressive taxation. The midpoint should be where everyone pays the same amount.

The word “fair” and the word “taxes” should never be used in the same paragraph, let alone in the same sentence or phrase.

Labor taxes (aka income taxes) are actually a modern form of slavery. A tax rate upon labor of 100% is the very definition of slavery. Therefore any lesser percentage is merely a matter of degree.

Obama shouting ‘tax the rich’ while dining out at $1,000 restaurants is a little hard to take.

“Fair” to progressives means give it all to them so they can redistribute it to the masses. Utopia for all.

10% of all forms of income, earned and unearned, with no deductions and no tax credits. The same as it should be for EVERY resident but Fair Tax (consumption tax) is infinitely better since everyone buys and sells.

The billionaires and poorest never pay taxes. We all know that. The billionaires simply CAN afford the smarter CPAs.

I used to go to a local CPA and never paid MORE on taxes than when she did my taxes. She also charged me an arm and a leg for her INFERIOR skills.

Maybe you ought to seek out a smarter CPA. I NOW use one from a Podunk little town hundreds of miles from where I live. He and his partners are fabulous. He still lives in Podunk because he was born and bred there. All his family and friends are there and there's no reason for him to move.
His rates reflect his life-style, smallish town.

The story on how I found him is long and DEADLY boring.

Wasn’t it Herman Cain that said if 10% is good enough for God, it should be good enough for the gov’t.

No kidding.
He's a dyed-in-the-wool liberal of the worst kind. There are some Democrats who are conservative but they are few and far between.
