No one would challenge Boehner.

Then, yesterday, Yoho announces that he is.

Now, Gohmert announces.

Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of the rebellion by having multiples now? Why could the rebels not unite behind one guy to show unity and support and cohesion?

At this point it doesn’t matter how many enter against Boehner. All that matters is that Boehner is unable to get the needed majority.

If Boehner is unable to secure a majority, then a 2nd ballot, a 3rd ballot, a 4th ballot can shake loose a candidate that members will support.
