I think Obama's eligibility was found to based on being born in Hawaii, citizenship of parents isn't a relevant factor when a person is born on US soil. Citizenship is not the issue...
It's ELEGIBILITY to become President or VP of the USA.

Right. I said "eligibility", which is "natural born citizen." The most common theory (which I happen to disagree with) is that if you are a citizen at birth, then you are a natural born citizen. Being born on US soil confers citizenship, regardless of the citizenship of ones parents (children of diplomats being the only class excluded from the rule).
Not to say that's the only way to be born a US citizen.

I understand it was given a pass. But, being a natural born citizen and not a naturalized citizen certainly is/was the issue.
