Recently over on AT the topic of Cuber came up. Once you really start figuring out what the regime is up to the challenge is to figure out what they are up to by mainstreaming Cuba or at least attempting to.
Basically, Cuba is a failed communist state and has been for a number of years. Any asset worth having on the small island country from cigars to crawfish to tourism has been looted by the Castro brothers.IT is then transferred into corporate loot known as Castro Inc.
Castro Inc, is the wealth of the country looted by the two terrorist brothers who are now near death thank God.
The challenge for those who have supported this terrorist regime is to keep it afloat.
Russia, Venezuela and other commie countries have all been benefactors with the latest the chicoms who are footing the bill to get their oil reserves on-line.
If you are a communist wannabe such as our government is loaded with commie types from Axelrod to Jarrett to ozero and you want a feather in your cap and a possible place to land when you are thrown out on your ass in two years it would pay to help other commie nations any which way you can. One way would be to ease the burden of giving cash to Cuba.
If you were to open up Cuba,let US tourist dollars and numerous grants from the US govt. start flowing into Cuba much of which would go to Castro inc. but some of which would actually go to the people you could get some serious accolades from those tasked with footing the terrorist bill namely the chicoms Russia and Venezuela.
Basically, Zeros plan will be to pass on the task of keeping cuab afloat to the U.S. taxpayers from other commie nations.
It's typical of the many tentacles that zero has installed in nearly every op he(the regime) plans in their many chaotic ops.
I believe Cuba is a distraction created by 0bama to further his power and influence. Gitmo too. The US Senate and House should hold hearings and possibly pass restrictions directed at the Cuba issue but not let Cuba dictate other efforts.
Get on the Keystone XL pipeline. Pass laws directed at the illegal immigrant issue. If nothing else, the GOP needs to get on track from day one to set the agenda and direction we need to go.

It seems that the next step for Obama to take re Cuba will be to hand over the naval station at Guantanamo Bay to the Castros, thus hampering the US navy of its ability to patrol the Caribbeans. Lots of other considerations as well that will benefit anti American countries to the detriment of the US. Jimmy Carter gave the Panama Canal to Panama regardless of treaties, agreements or other legalities which should have stopped him. He did have Senate approval but it was a hard fought battle. Obama eschews such formalities and will simply declare it a done deal and unless we have a strong leadership in congress there will be no stopping him. His timing will of course be appropriate for whatever other pot he has boiling that needs distraction. Interesting year ahead.
