He’d look like - and be - a pretty weak speaker if the ‘opposing’ party was the one that got him in.

Anyone would be embarrassed to take the speakership that way, one would hope.

Ha; it didn’t seem to bother Thad Cochran, in the least, to win his Senate seat in MS with help from the opposing party. Most politicians have no conscience or morals.
