Unfortunately I have to agree with you. The vote is tomorrow and right now they're about 20 votes away from denying Boehner a win. I just don't think they have enough time to organize a credible opposition to him.

Since coming out against the Speaker or voting for someone else is essentially flipping the bird to Boehner, those doing so are already on his “S-list” and have nothing to lose. But I suspect there are very few who are willing to put principle over the political expedient of not pissing in the Speaker’s cornflakes.
